Ripley’s Believe It or Not

The museum is now open at Global Village. The region’s first-ever attraction of this kind which houses the world’s weirdest and wackiest oddities. Hosting artifacts and displays from all around the world in 6 key galleries, an audio & lighting solution was required to help bring this museum to life.

Procom Middle East was selected as the preferred supplier for this project and working closely with the technical teams from Done Events, the perfect solution was supplied.

The galleries feature a selection of lighting fixtures from Cyclops Theatrical Series including 114 x LED PAR150’s, 41 compact profile PR40’s and 8 mini profile PR20’s. The units offer a high output, a theatrical light source with minimal power consumption making them ideal for applications such as this. All units have integrated barn doors and gel-frame holders to offer the maximum flexibility for final focusing and adjustments.

The in-house music and announcement system comprised of 22x OVI 12’s from DAS Audio and were suspended from the gallery ceiling. The Ovi-12 is a unique and versatile loudspeaker with the clarity and power of a true two-way loudspeaker system. It offers an excellent alternative to installations where wall mounting is not possible. Every gallery has its own media playback facility and a priority mix allows for announcements to take place throughout when needed.
