RIDE Spinning Studio

RIDE is the first boutique indoor spinning studio in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, offering classes with pumped-up tunes and rhythmic beats.

The client wanted to create an immersive, club-like fitness experience where members would go beyond their limits while experiencing the fun in the movement. Procom came on board to provide the supply, technical installation and commissioning of the audio-visual system.

DAS Audio was the ideal sound system as it delivers the quality, power and intensity needed. The system included 6 x Q-43-T passive speakers and 3 x Q-10 compact passive subwoofers for excellent music reproduction. Sound reinforcement was provided using 2 x PA-900 and 2 x PA-1500 stereo amplifiers which incorporate rear located switches, permitting operational mode selection and input sensitivity selection. Action-8A monitor was installed featuring extended bandwidth, improved dynamic range and exceptionally low distortion. For the entrance and changing rooms, 10 x CL-8-T 2-way passive coaxial speakers were integrated into the ceiling.

In order to create dynamic color mixing and pixel effects, 100m of PixiStrip 60-I RGB LED pixel strips by Cyclops Lighting were fitted into the walls and step recesses throughout, while 150m of PixiNeon LED neon flex were incorporated into the walls and ceiling. As for the front wall, 800 x PixiDots were installed for screen mapping. Above the stage, 4 x Razor RGB6300 rotating laser bars were placed forming a cage around the instructor, working along with HZ-500 haze machine for enhanced effects. The DJ booth and instructor zone were illuminated with 2 x PR 20W mini LED profiles and 2 x XL 18 powerful RGBW LED PARs. Lighting was controlled using Avolites T2 DMX-to-USB Interface and 2 x Madrix Luna 16 DMX port network node in tandem with Madrix 5 software basic key, allowing for an unlimited variety of effects with pixel mapping.

Light & sound control was made easy for instructors as Procom built a fully-customized all-in-one Symetrix control interface on an iPad. Symetrix’ Prism 8×8 digital signal processor, 1 x  control server, and xControl were connected to the app, allowing for the AV control of the studio from the simple click of a button.
