LYLO, the dancefloor concept tucked inside Canary Beach at Club Vista Mare on Palm Jumeirah, is built on a single, deliberate premise: no grand entrance, no separation between the booth and the floor but one room where the DJ, the sound, and the crowd all share the same tight space. A room built that way leaves no space for a bulky rig to hide behind. The audio had to disappear into the space as completely as the venue itself does.
The Challenge
Single-room, high-density dancefloors are some of the least forgiving spaces to design sound for. Too little output and the room falls flat once it fills up; too much hardware and the compact, low-key aesthetic the venue is built around disappears behind visible gear. LYLO needed full club-level output and even coverage at close range, in a room with essentially nowhere to conceal a conventional rig.
The Solution
The floor runs on a mix of Adamson IS10p point source cabinets alongside IS7PX and CS7p full-range units, all drawn from Adamson's install-focused line, built around compact footprints that keep the hardware out of sight rather than turning it into part of the décor. The IS10p's 100° x 50° dispersion pattern delivers even coverage across a dense, close-quarters floor without needing a larger array to fill the room, while the CS7p's onboard DSP and networked control mean the system doesn't need a separate equipment rack taking up space elsewhere in the building.
Power and processing run through two Lab.gruppen D Series Lake amplifiers - a D 80:4L and a D 40:4L, both carrying Lake DSP and Dante networking on board. That means the whole system can be tuned, monitored, and adjusted from a single point rather than managed across disconnected zones, which matters for a room that has to run reliably night after night with minimal manual intervention.
The Result
The combination of point source and full-range Adamson cabinets, run through networked, Lake-processed amplification, gives LYLO full club-level output and coverage at close range, without the system itself becoming part of what people see when they walk in. The result is a room where the audio does its job invisibly, exactly as the venue's own design intends.
