Drai's Dubai

Known for its festive evenings, Drai’s is a private swimming pool during the day which turns into an open-air dance floor once night falls.

Procom came on board to provide the venue with a full video and lighting solution.

The main creative visual element at the venue is a scattered high-brightness LED Screen, created using 100m² of outdoor P6 LED panels by Visiotek.

As for the lighting show, a variety of Cyclops Lighting moving head fixtures were mounted on towers all around the venue as well as in between the LED panels. It included: 66 x Aquaray 400B outdoor waterproof beam moving head, 22 x Zoom 37 MK II LED wash moving head and 10 x Zoom 19 MK II LED wash moving head. Intense bursts of light were created with Vari-Lite 12 x SL Nitro 510 white LED strobe and strobes of color with 12 x SL Nitro 510C RGBW LED strobe. The lighting system was controlled with Avolites Arena Console.

A large truss structure designed to the accuracy of millimeters served as support for the custom-shaped LED screen and lighting fixtures. Additional truss towers were installed and bolted to the ground on the periphery of the venue. The Eurotruss rigging system was built using more than 140 HD34 square trusses of different lengths, 30 BLK-34 corner blocks, and 80 spacers and bold-on receivers for specific size accuracy.

Power distribution throughout the venue was managed by Power Distros’ heavy-duty main distribution boxes: 3 x 125A main distribution box, 2 x 63A main distribution box, 1 x 32A main distribution box, and 3 x 16A stage box.
