Procom Middle East is hosting a Beginner Laser Technician Course at its training center in Dubai.
This course welcomes absolute beginners to the fascinating worlds of lasers, Pangolin software, and laser show production. However, it's not limited to newcomers only, seasoned professionals from diverse show production backgrounds are also encouraged to join. While we'll touch on content creation, the main emphasis lies on practical know-how to ensure seamless and successful gig execution. This course covers laser projectors and how they work, show setups, cabling requirements, creating laser content and shows, controlling your show from DMX consoles, and much more. A certificate of training will be provided upon completion of the course. This course will take you from zero to hero as award-winning Lyra Letourneau guides you through the process of operating captivating laser shows.
Topics covered:
Lyra is the Creative Director for Pangolin laser systems and has been programming and operating laser shows since she was 14 years old. She has worked in all aspects of the industry including touring, theater, large-scale theme parks, cruise ships, and even small-town shows, and winning awards for some of these shows along the way. She now plays a supporting role in the industry doing trainings, support, and community outreach for Pangolin systems. But still finds time to do shows when she can to stay up to date and understand the needs of the industry she serves. Right after these two days of the Beginner Laser Technician Course on the 27th and 28th of August, we are organizing the Advanced Laser Technician Course on the 29th and 30th of August. This course will pick up where the beginner course left off and teach more advanced topics, delving deep into the effects engine, cue types, and show design for both live operation and pre-programmed timeline shows.
