Iris Beirut to upgrade sound system with K-array
Client: Iris Lebanon
Date & Location: May 2018, New Waterfront Beirut.
Iris, one of the most visited rooftops in Lebanon for its sunset setting, has finally reopened its new location in New Waterfront Beirut.
For this new location, Iris management wanted an excellent sound coverage able to accommodate background music, live performances, all the way up to professional DJ sets events without compromising the design of the venue without sound spillage to the buildings in downtown Beirut
K-array sound systems, now a signature speaker for the venue after it was installed in Bahrain last year, was the clear choice of venue management.
The installation was done consequently with 22x KX12 installed in a line array configuration. The KX12 consists of compact coaxial 12″ line array element that features a 100° by 30° horn with an adjustable orientation powered by 3x K-array’s KM218 Self-powered and ultra-light 2×18” subwoofer and 2x K-array’s KMT21 I Ultra-light high-power 21” subs.
The owners of the venue wanted to extend the quality of the sound to the restroom areas. They opted for the innovative high-quality in-ceiling loudspeaker with built-in DMX lights: The KT2C, a ceiling mount loudspeaker designed for high-quality distributed systems.
Procom was involved in supplying, installing, commissioning and following up with technical support to make sure the project is fully covered.
